FORMAT:
One day event. Teams will play in a league format in morning and knockout in the afternoon (fixtures depending on number of entries).

CATEGORY:
Competition – Compete (Group 1) & Participate (Group 2)
TEAM REQUIREMENTS:
- 7 a side (Squads of 10)
- At least 2 girls on the pitch at one time
- ONE TEAM ENTRY per school initially (depending on numbers there may be space for a B Team). All teams will play in leagues in the morning. THEN teams will be split into the CUP and SHIELD competitions.
RULES:
- Rolling subs when break in play
- Tries are scored past the try line (players must remain on their feet at all times)
- When a try is scored, the game is restarted by a free pass from the centre of the pitch by the non-scoring team
- Ball can be passed sideways or backwards (if passed forward, a free pass will be awarded to opposition)
- A free pass restarts play when ball goes out of play
- Each player should have two tags on their belt, which are easily visable
- When tagged the player must release the ball within 3 seconds (Player can not move more than three strides)
- Player must reattach their tag before continuing
- PLEASE RESPECT ALL REFEREE’S DECISIONS

- Appropriate clothing / footwear for grass pitches
- Light Refreshments / water bottle
- Medication required
- Tag – belts
- Bibs
PROGRESSION:
County Final Monday 20th March 2023
FOCUS:
Both Compete and Participate events will focus on Teamwork and Respect. The referee is ALWAYS correct and no decisions will be challenged.
