Dragonball Training:
Monday 11th July
MORNING SESSION
9:30am – 12pm @ Chilton Academy
Venue: Chilton Academy, Chilton, Ferryhill, DL17 0PT
Participants will learn:
- Introduction to Dragonball
- Gameplay and Rules
- Non – contact drills – skills and techniques used in dragonball with some focus on passing.
- Adapted Games – Examples of warm up games – Examples of games using STEP (Space, Task, Equipment, People) – Sitting Dragonball, Walking Dragonball
- Dragonball in PE lessons and Running Tournaments
- Dragonball in the Classroom – Literacy Packages based on Sammy Rambles books (including 6 week programme)
- Playing Dragonball
- Discussion Time Questions and Session End
Other information:
- Course duration: 2.5 hours (Practical)
- Leader Qualification Certificate provided.
- 16 years minimum age or no qualifications needed to attend the course.

Introduction to Disc Sports Training Course

INTRODUCTION TO DISC SPORTS
This course is a powerful skills program designed for PE staff, sports coaches and young leaders. It is a practical session that enables participants to ‘learn by doing’. The content and delivery style can be tailored for key stage 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 and Special Schools.
The activities can be played all year round, indoor or outdoor, in out of school clubs, sports festivals, and as part of the P.E. curriculum.
Participants will learn:

Fundamental throwing and catching techniques, advanced disc flight control and team-play skills.

Simplified coaching points for effective skills transfer to children and students.

How to play a range of fun and dynamic progressive disc activities including exciting throw and catch games, target games, individual and team challenges, flow drills, Field Events, Disc Golf, Ultimate Frisbee and other official Disc Sports that can be adapted for beginner groups.

Which discs to use for a given situation, activity and ability.

- Course duration: 3 hours (Practical)
- Disc Sports Pocket Handbook (3rd Edition) provided.
- Leader Qualification Certificate.
- 16 years minimum age or no qualifications needed to attend the course.
